On Friday, May 10 at noon EST, the USDA will release its May World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report which always has the potential to move the futures markets. In my latest article for Seeking Alpha, I look at the weakness in the sector of the commodities market that feeds the world. I also explain why prices of grains, cotton, and meats are crawling into the May report at very low levels because of trade issues between the US and China and how we are still at a time of the year where there is lots of uncertainty over the 2019 crop.
