The price of coffee futures on the Intercontinental Exchange is back below the $1 per pound level again at the beginning of August. In my latest piece for Seeking Alpha, I look at the price action in the soft commodity as well as in the currency relationship between the US dollar and the Brazilian real. Coffee is back near the bottom end of its pricing cycle, which could lead to opportunities on the long side for the commodity before it begins to percolate on the upside once again.
