Copper recently corrected down to just under $2.90 per pound but on October 5 the price of the red metal came storming back and is now trading around the $3.06 per pound level. In my latest work for Seeking Alpha, I review the price action in the copper and base metals markets and outline how the price action is good news for the global economy as well as those companies that extract these metals and ores from the crust of the earth.
