U.S. Debt Holders Continue To Believe In The Value Of The Paper- Is It An Illusion?

The top twenty-five holders of U.S. debt securities hold over 26% of the outstanding obligations of the United States and twenty-four of them are countries. In my latest article for Seeking Alpha, I examine the vested interest that countries like China and Japan have in the price and credit of U.S. government debt and wonder whether other assets are signaling that the entire foreign exchange and sovereign debt markets are nothing short of an illusion these days.
